As expected, the worst, most eye-rolling line of the latest Democratic Presidential primary debate came from Amy Klobuchar:
I have an idea of how we could stop sexism on the internet: We could nominate a woman for president of the United States. I think that might go a long way if we showed our stuff as a party.

Yeah? The same way nominating Barack Obama in 2008 ended racism?
And perhaps Klobuchar’s memory is slipping beyond just forgetting the Mexican president’s name, because since 2008, Democrats as a party have already tried her tactic.

Newsflash Amy: voting for candidates based on what they are instead of what they stand for does very little to advance the causes for the people that share the same demographic as the candidate. Racism didn’t end with Obama, sexism didn’t end with Hillary, and it certainly wouldn’t end with you.
