tl;dr: Democrats in Congress are expected to pay dues to the DCCC (aka ‘D-trip’), an organization that helps the campaigns of House Democrats. AOC, who has out-raised every other House Democrat, is purposefully not paying those dues, and instead is directly funding campaigns of progressive challengers to existing Democratic seats.
For me personally, I’m not paying D-trip dues. I don’t agree with the policy around blacklisting groups that help progressive candidates. I think we need to evolve as a party and make room for that. I want to help frontline members by putting that money straight into their pocket.

I think the butthurt is hilarious. The DCCC made an official stance six months ago to smother progressive candidates and protect their establishment cronies. If centrist Democrats had their way, AOC would have never made it to the Hill, because the only thing they fear more than losing seats to Republicans is losing them to actually progressive candidates that will upset the party’s status quo. It’s only logical that AOC should deny them that money and instead use it to support more Justice Democrats that value integrity and the needs of their constituents over corporate donors.
